Arhaus Topanga
The Arhaus in Westfield Topanga shopping center outside of Los Angeles, CA is made possible by RDL implementing the new tenant façade and infill at the location of an existing two-story, 160,000 square foot former Sears department store.
With RDL’s design, shoppers will be greeted by a two-story façade, large amounts of energy-efficient glazing, and a 2,000-square-foot second-floor open-air patio that gives a backyard living feel. The store will feature Belgium stone and hardwood flooring throughout, a reclaimed stone fireplace from Europe, a private design center office, reclaimed wood ceilings, and a combination of quarried stone, corten steel, and ACM panels on the exterior. There will also be a monumental staircase that wraps around the elevator.
RDL worked diligently to obtain various design permits, comply with California’s Title 24 and “Cal Green” requirements, and meet the shopping center’s LEED certification standards for tenants.
