Browning Masonic Community Dining Room Renovations

Located along the Maumee River in Waterville, OH, the Browning Masonic Community offers assisted living and memory care living options. With the improvement of the resident experience a priority, RDL collaborated with Ohio Masonic Home to enhance the community’s dining venues and adjacent common spaces.

Throughout the renovation process, RDL set out to improve both aesthetics as well as the residents’ quality of life. Opening up the wall between the Bistro and Sunroom, allowed for more socially engaging seating arrangements as well as more natural light to fill the room.

The dining room renovations shift the experience away from the traditional, country-style design that had been in place to a more tranquil and transitional feel. This was achieved by implementing the following upgrades:

  • Newly painted cabinetry and countertops
  • Wall and trim paint
  • Luxury vinyl plank and carpet tile flooring
  • LED lighting
  • Custom upholstered banquettes
  • Wood wall moldings
  • Glass-inset wood sliding doors
  • Gerontological-friendly furnishings all in a cool, earthly-toned color palette

RDL worked closely with a comprehensive operational team to ensure that residents’ experience would be enhanced as a result of this project, all while staying within the construction budget.
