Little Italy Redevelopment Corporation

The Little Italy Redevelopment Corporation engaged RDL Architects with a vision for a rejuvenated Little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio. To better serve residents who fell in love with the neighborhood, Little Italy sought to expand and renovate new developments in the neighborhood.

The Little Italy neighborhood is the cultural center for the region’s Italian community. Residents and those with family histories in the neighborhood, those with Italian heritage and the rest of Greater Cleveland take advantage of the many cultural events, restaurants, shops, and unique urban fabric of Little Italy.

The last renovation plan for the neighborhood was completed in 2004. Since then, the landscape has shifted dramatically. Little Italy faced ever increasing development pressure for residential development to serve workers and students in nearby University Circle and also new urban residents who are attracted to the walkability and charm of Little Italy.
